My art is a layered meditation on the sacredness of Earth, she is vast, powerful, and deeply alive. I paint not to capture her, but to listen to her: to echo her rhythms, conceal her mysteries, and reveal the profound, living spirit that connects us all.

Encaustic art is

a painting technique that uses heated beeswax and resin as a medium to which pigments are added. The word “encaustic” itself comes from the Greek word “enkaustikos,” meaning “to heat” or “to burn,” emphasizing the heating process essential to the medium. The heated wax is applied to a surface, often wood, and then fused with a heat source like a heat gun or torch to create a smooth, durable, and lustrous finish. a painting technique that uses heated beeswax and resin as a medium to which pigments are added.
